So I'm not really sure what this is. I'm sure anyone is but it sounds worth trying it. It's called
Audium and its in SF. From what I read, its like this "experiment" or "experience" with/through sound. You sit is this trippy room as you, I'm guessing, you see and mainly hear sounds in a special room and actually feel the sounds. Sounds like a hit or miss but worth discovering. Here's some yelp comments:
"This almost looks like an experiment. it's hard to explain the experience but it's pretty awesome. of course you would only find a place like this in San Francisco. it's been around since the 60's so you still get that retro feel. 2001: A Space Odyssey-esque. i totally dig it. "
"As for the experience... well, the music was clearly of the ambient random noises variety, but the experience of listening to it was crazy. I mean, when you hear theaters and things talk about "surround sound" they're really only talking about 5 speakers. And yeah, that's enough to feel like you're basically surrounded, but when there's well over 100 speakers around you, "surround" has a whole new meaning. Since you're sitting in the dark, it's hard to get a handle on the space, it gets disorienting, in a really cool way. You start to lose touch with where things are coming from."
