These are really cool. They are pictoprams for the Beijing Olympics representing each sport. I love the play on the traditional Chinese stamp. I have one myself with my name and I cherish it. I guess (since I am not positive) the stamps are traditionally used as a signature. Mines is handcarved out of ivory and in a special box with the ink. See below.
